What scholarships cover

  • Fully or partially subsidised private or group music lessons
  • Access to instruments and resources where needed (loaned instruments, music books, learning materials)
  • All the support and opportunities available to every We Are Loud student

Eligibility

Scholarships are available to students of any age who would otherwise be unable to access regular music lessons due to financial constraints. The scholarship committee considers all known factors when making decisions, and awards are based on need and available funding.

How to apply

To apply for a scholarship, please fill out the application form below. Applications are treated confidentially and reviewed by the scholarship committee.

Term dates 2026

Scholarship applications open and close according to the following schedule. All scholarships awarded at any time continue to the end of the calendar year. Scholarship recipients are required to reapply for the following year.

Term 1

Applications open 1 December 2025 to 11 January 2026. Processed 12-24 January. Decisions finalised by Sunday 25 January.

Term 2

Applications open 2-29 March. Processed 30 March to 2 April. Decisions finalised by Sunday 12 April.

Term 3

Applications open 2-28 June. Processed 29 June to 3 July. Decisions finalised by Sunday 12 July.

Term 4

Applications open 24 August to 20 September. Processed 21-25 September. Decisions finalised by Sunday 3 October.
