Payment
All of our lessons are charged by direct debit — monthly, fortnightly or weekly — through GoCardless. It's simple to use, secure, and means we can focus on what we're good at: teaching music.

Payments by direct debit
We have developed our billing system in a way that we hope affords complete transparency. You will always be sent an invoice from Xero, which triggers an automatic payment from our GoCardless system. Once you have set up an account in this system, we'll invoice at your chosen frequency and payments will automatically be made via direct debit from your GoCardless account. You'll also receive an invoice for each payment via email, but you don't need to do anything — this is just for your reference.
Payments will be charged weekly, fortnightly or monthly at your preference (as listed on your 'new student sign-up' form). Please note weekly payments incur a 40c admin fee.
Public holidays & the school year
Aside from the summer break, we teach during the school holidays throughout the year, and we do not open on public holidays. Every individual student's timetable is considered when your billing is set up, and public holidays are never billed, regardless of which plan you are on.
Weekly and fortnightly plans: your payment plan will track with your lesson calendar from week to week and fortnight to fortnight. If there are public holidays during that period, your bill will be less than usual to account for this.
Monthly plans: your overall lesson fees for the year will be totalled up, accounting for any public holidays that fall on your usual lesson day, and then that total will be divided equally into a fixed amount that will be billed consecutively, once a month, for the remainder of the year.
Late fees
Unpaid invoices will receive a reminder email when invoices are overdue for 14, 21, 30, 60 and 90 days. A late fee on overdue invoices will be charged at the rate of $10 after 60 days, and $25 after 90 days. As we are a small business we appreciate prompt payment on invoices and encourage those with overdue invoices to contact us as soon as possible, and we'll be happy to arrange a payment plan to make things easier. Please note fees may also be incurred for repeated failed direct debit payments.
