About songwriting

Songwriting lessons help you turn your ideas, emotions, and stories into songs. Our teachers are working songwriters — they know the craft from the inside and will help you find your creative voice in a supportive, non-judgemental space.

What to expect

  • Lyrics, melody, harmony, and song structure
  • Writing techniques across genres — pop, folk, indie, hip hop, and more
  • Recording and demoing your songs
  • Collaboration with other student songwriters
  • Performance opportunities to share your original music

Who it’s for

Songwriting is for anyone who wants to create their own music — whether you’re a singer, instrumentalist, or just have things to say. We run private and group sessions for teens and adults. Some instrumental or vocal experience is helpful but not essential.
